(clapping) san francisco supervisor tang who always seemed to recognize us (clapping) so it's really cool about this event it is recognized citywide and unusual that elected officials will take the time to engage really what is a worker event it's unusual we have elected officials in this town that put other cities our size and large to shame what we have today two of the most expressive elected leaders an opportunity to introduce them i do want to start with our assessor-recorder carmen chu. (clapping.) >> carmen chu was appointed by mayor gavin newsom in 2007 to the san francisco board of

supervisors to represent the sunset district write was raised a lot of you are from it was not easy carmen chu was not small business that was looking at for a political career go sometimes this year, the best representatives representing you she was drafted; right? you guys remember ed schu i fondly remember a couple 6 stores by the carmen it was our gardeners along point firefighters and the teachers and the bus drivers that stooped for carmen we knew she was something that would get the job done she was on the wrong side of some voted like in china - (laughter) ca man approached the job is professionalism dignity and
